Rock Steady

I'm delighted that my publishers, Protea, have given the go-ahead for the sequel to Turtle Walk - it should be on the shelves by the end of the year.

I had such fun writing it - I could develop the characters more, plus they're a year older which means I could stuff in more romance, agony and action. I'm so excited for my readers who have been asking me about the next in the series: I know you're going to love it!

Keep visiting for more news about the book. In the meantime, here's a teaser: the title is "Rock Steady". Any guesses as to what it might be about?

Turtle Walk - The Sequel!

Many of you have been asking about whether Turtle Walk will have a sequel, and I'm delighted to let you know that I've just typed "The End" on the first draft of the manuscript! What a wonderful feeling it is to finish a book, I always feel both hyped and a little wistful as I write the last chapter.

Now the editing process begins. I need to review the book to check everything hangs together, all the loose ends are tied up and the details stay consistent (Characters' eye and hair colour shouldn't change halfway through!). Also, of course, are those pesky spelling and grammar mistakes :(

Then the book goes to the publishers and a second round of editing starts.

What? You think great stories happen overnight?

I can tell you that there's more adventure, more romance and more danger in this one - and Sam goes through a really hard time!

Can't wait....
